VOLUNTEERING

Women’s Design Service is always pleased to hear from people interested in volunteering to work with us. Sometimes we have opportunities to work directly on projects. Often we have particularly tasks that we would really appreciate expert help with. Currently we are looking for the following:-

Library cataloguer
We have already had a couple of excellent volunteers helping us with our library. We now have a classification system ready to go. We need someone with some knowledge of library classification, some knowledge of our field of work, and good level of IT to sort all our books and produce an excel list of what we have.

Database writer
We are looking for someone with high level expertise in Access to write a people database for us.

Assistance with organising conferences
We are planning a couple of big events in the next year or so and would welcome input from women able to give time to help us with the organisation of these.
