Gender & the Built Environment: Gendersite
We want to find out if the launch of Gendersite has improved people's awareness of gender issues in relation to the built environment. Please take part in our very short survey before 28th November: Click Here to take survey
Funded by the UCL-led programme UrbanBuzz, we have been working in partnership with Queen Mary University of London to publish a website which brings together all the existing resources on the issue of gender and the built environment.
This is now live - please take a look at www.gendersite.org. The site includes lists of broadcasts, books, bibliographies, conference papers and reports and also a number of case studies on transport, safety, housing and women in built environment professions and we will be continuing to add to these; let us know if you would like to contribute or if you have any comments by emailing gendersite@wds.org.uk.
Details of the Gendersite launch event held on 2nd October at Queen Mary University of London will be posted here soon.
Sex and the City: Gender & the Built Environment Training
Free training sessions to support the launch of Gendersite, taking place at various venues as part of Urban Design Week & the UrbanBuzz Launch Pad, are all now fully booked.
WDS can provide training on gender issues in relation to the built environment to suit you or your organisation. Please see here for more information on this service or email info@wds.org.uk |
